CELEBRATION DAY & STRING FEVER

On Wednesday 23 September 2009, as part of our Celebration Day we hosted a very special performance—an exhilarating puppet show called String Fever. As promised Murray Raine's String Fever was an exhilarating and vibrant performance and the exquisite detail of the puppets and their costumes were truly spectacular. We were entertained by can-can girls, a belly dancer, camel, trapeze artist, weight lifter and many others all part of a highly amusing marionette circus. In the wink of an eye the shortest clown became the tallest, the camel revealed that it was no ordinary camel and each of the numerous puppets had their own special trick to surprise and delight us.
Our students, staff , family, friends and kindergarten students from Mt Pritchard East Primary School were captivated by the performance and laughed and clapped their way through the dynamic puppet show.
Thank you to the staff who helped to organise this special event and thank you to the families and friends who braved the unusual dusty, windy weather conditions to join us.
We also held our 3rd term Awards Assembly. Congratulations to the following students who recieved an achievement award:
Sebatsion Nguyen, Tadeu Tong, Shom Huque, Brandan Theam, Ivan Chau, Christian Ciliberto, Damien Pham, Blayke Broadbent, Nezar El-Sayed, Damien Harris, Brooke Akam, Rayan Nachar, Chelsea Carrol, Erin Rutherford, Naweed Payenda, Demsin Jabraeili, Zoe McFarlane and Jonathan Sada.
